French Jive classes held weekly in Akaroa;

Venue: Classes held at the Presbyterian Church Hall, 39 rue Lavaud, Akaroa. 7.00pm every Friday evening.

 

Fee $10 casual class, concession tickets available
Dress style - comfortable and casual with suitable footwear i.e., smooth soled shoes. No need to bring a partner with you. Throughout class you will change partners every few minutes. A great way to meet people and it improves your dancing. Experienced tutors, teach the male and female techniques for each move. Beginners can join class at any stage during the year. A different routine is taught each week.

Thinking of joining?

You can start any time throughout the year. Beginners welcome, we want more people dancing and enjoying themselves.

French Jive is known as Modern Partner Dancing. Due to it being one of the easist forms of dance to learn. We also teach other styles of dance from Latin, Cha Cha Cha, & Salsa. Ballroom Styles taught include, Waltz, Quickstep, & Social Foxtrot. Ballroom and Latin styles taught in block weeks. to be advised throughout the year.

Format:

Warm Up: 7.00

Lesson: 7.10

Practica./Review:8.00 Practica is a chance to review the evenings moves or to ask questions regarding any other moves needing review.

Social Dancing: 8.00 onwards. BYO Drinks and nibbles if desired

Cost: Casual Class $10

Concession tickets available.
